How long does it take to generate the food labels?

Our nutrition expert needs 1-3 business days to generate the nutrition facts labels for you. If you have a bulk order of more than 20 recipes, our expert will reach out to you with a specific time frame that is usually around 10-14 business days depending on the complexity of the recipes.

What information do we need from you to run the labels?

In order for our nutrition experts to generate the labels accurately, we need the standardized recipe that includes your ingredients, corresponding quantities (preferably in grams), recipe yield (final weight of your finished or processed product) and serving size (if any). If you have the nutrition facts of some of the branded products you use in your recipe, that would be helpful too.

What are the label styles available?

Our label styles vary based on the regulations of the market you are selling in. For the USA market, we have 4 FDA compliant label styles you can choose from: standard vertical, tabular, linear and dual label format. We also have label formats compliant with Canada, Australia and New Zealand, UK, EU and the Middle East.

In what format do we share the labels?

We send you your labels in PDF or Png formats so that you have the flexibility to edit them or use them as is. If there is another format you would prefer such as JPEG for example, you can also request this from the team.

Are the labels ready to use? Can I print them directly?

We send you the labels ready-to-use and 100% regulatory compliant with your market. You can print them and stick them directly on your product.

How do we guarantee regulatory compliance?

Our nutrition experts are always up-to-date with the latest food labeling regulations and guidelines and work closely with the food authorities in different markets to ensure the labels are generated in compliance with current laws. Our ingredient database is also based on the USDA-ingredient database to ensure accurate nutrition facts for each ingredient. Any new ingredient added to our database is verified and cross-checked by one of our nutrition experts before going live for public use in our software.

Will my recipes remain proprietary and confidential?

Yes, of course. As per our privacy policy, we have strict procedures to guarantee all recipes remain confidential and will not be disclosed or used anywhere. Our food labeling expert is also happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement prior to receiving your recipes, should you wish to do so.
